While Ellie was here we played a little dress up with the outfit we got for her.

Also this week we found out we have a new resident in our garden-
We are actually very happy about this one- they love gophers and woodpeckers.

Carlee turned 6 on Friday and she couldn't of been happier.
We shared the evening with her...so cute.

It's all about shades of Purple in the Garden right now.....love this time of year when everything has a green haze.
This guy should be thankful it's not November. =)
Early each morning this guy and about 20 of his female friends walk through out property.
Yep....he's pretty proud of himself.
We have been wanting to hike Hite cove for about 8 years now....and what do we do?....decide to hike it around 5pm....we kind of roll that way.
After Sandi and Steve unload their truck {stuff for the Spring Event} we headed out for our hike.
We wanted to see what the wildflowers were up to....of course they were a little shy and closing up for the day....but still pretty.
Here's a little look at our hike.
Hazards: The first mile and a half of the trail winds along the hillside about a hundred feet above the river.( about what we hiked, before we headed back...didn't want to walk the trail in the dark) There are spots, however, where the drop off is sheer enough that a fall could kill you. =)
Pretty easy hike....we did it with-

We stopped here and had dinner- peanut butter sandwiches, Nutri Grain bars and water {remember we are still rolling last minute style.}
We want to go back and hike the whole trail....around 4 miles in.....and do it during the day light hours when the poppies are opened. =)

Note to self-
You'll find lots of poison oak here, few lots of mosquitoes....for our next hike remember to take mosquito repellent and anti bacterial wipes (porta potty your only option....if you are a girl that is}

At least once a year I like to take my two nieces Ashlee and Mikayla along with Carlee {my grandchild} on a little girls day out.
We started the day by going to the mall for a little shopping. The girls being silly waiting for the shops to open....Ashlee pretending to be road kill.
We did a little shopping at "My Little Kitty", then on to the bookstore; I just let them wander around there for awhile.... Each found the perfect book.
After the book store it was time for lunch at Olive Garden. {on the way there we came across a big road block and decided to take another road. Good thing we did, found out later that there was a shooting there ending in a couple of deaths....seems like every girls day out we come across something like this.}
Carlee picked out an umbrella at "My little Kitty" store, she kept saying "I can't believe I have my own umbrella" silly girl.... she kept teasing Ashlee and Mikayla with it, so cute.
Our next stop was Pink Bowtique they are the cutest little on line store, selling adorable hair accessories etc. for little girls. We happened to know where they make all their goodness. =)

Next we went to Queens nails- for $5 they painted their nails in this cute little designs.
We ended our day by going to see Mirror Mirror. Cute fun little girls.....we had an awesome day.

Last week Danny gathered up our boys and headed to Nevada for a "Guy Trip"
I asked him if he would make sure and take a few pictures so I could document their trip here.
Taking pictures of each other before hitting the road....good job guys.
Just North of St George the guys started their trip on quads. They were free to go where they wanted....just had to be back in 6 hours. Danny said the dunes were awesome.
On their Second day- Nellis Dunes; the Mini Baja Chase.
Danny said this was way awesome fun....even got him to thinking about buying a couple dune buggies, after hearing that... Denver's comment- "Man, if you had these I would be in California all the time."
Sam's buggie couldn't quite keep up with Sam.
One of the evenings they decided to try out a resturant that they had heard about.
Yes, they put real hospital gowns on them along with hospital tags that said-
"I had a bypass at the Heart Attack Grill"
Danny said the food was awesome.

People watching- they were also filming Oceans Fourteen while they were here.
And what guy trip would be complete without....Guns

The Cottage garden is starting to bloom. I just threw out some wildflower seed last fall and this is what is coming forth. Happy Day.
